Cécile Lüssi has worked in Räffelstrasse since October 2008, but is nevertheless no newcomer to the team. The passionate sportswoman wrote her master's thesis at the ETH Zurich on the topic of Intrusion Detection Systems with the technical support of Open Systems.
«Open Systems was present at an information event at the IT faculty of the ETH», replies Cécile Lüssi to the question of how she became aware of Open Systems at the time. «I was so taken with the company that there and then I asked whether I could write my Master's thesis with Open Systems.» No sooner said than done. Today, Cécile Lüssi has completed her bachelor's and master's degrees in computer science at the ETH Zürich and has her master's theses on the subject of Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS) in her educational baggage. «The chemistry on both sides worked right from the start», Lüssi today happily recalls and is glad that she took the initiative at the time. The 28-year-old is presently working as a security engineer in the Professional Services department. «What I appreciate above all in my job is its closeness to the clients», she reflects. «This contact is very important to me and gives my work the variety I'm looking for.»
A job with many facets
Familiarization with the Open Systems specific conception, implementation and maintenance of networks is advancing well and training with regard to certification for employment in Mission Control is also proceeding according to plan. «The internal training is well structured and enables me to quickly implement in practice what I learned during my studies.» After a short time already, it is clear to Cécile Lüssi that her work at Open Systems will bring her pleasure for many years to come. «At Open Systems, there is no run-of-the-mill work in the true sense. My job has a multitude of facets and very much depends on our clients' requirements. Although the demands and tempo are very high, one always has the necessary support from the other team members.»
