Roman Jeitziner, Business Unit Leader North America, leads both the go-to-market and customer retention teams at Open Systems in the United States. By unifying these critical functions, Roman ensures a cohesive approach that not only acquires new business but also fosters long-term customer satisfaction, driving sustainable growth for the organization.

Roman began his journey at Open Systems as a Customer Success Engineer, where he played a pivotal role in founding the first dedicated sales engineering team. Demonstrating a strong capacity for building effective, customer-focused operations, he moved to the United States and assumed wider responsibilities for sales and channel activities. Over time, Roman has significantly influenced the company’s U.S. presence, helping shape its strategic trajectory and strengthening its market position.

Before joining Open Systems in 2014, Roman earned a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from the Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts and enriched his global perspective with an academic excursion at the University of California, Santa Barbara. He also attended leadership training at the University of California, Berkeley, broadening his skill set and honing his leadership approach.

Throughout his evolution from engineer to business unit leader, Roman has remained grounded in his technical roots and guided by the principle, “leaders eat last.” He believes that by keeping his teams motivated and engaged, they can consistently deliver exceptional experiences to customers.
