How We Do It
Industrial-Strength Lines of Defense
Multiple checks and tests provide robust security
Effective Quarantine for Suspect Messages
Policy-based inspections keep spam off your inboxes
Multi-Layered Protections for Every Email
Drill down to see all filtering details, per email
Global Management and Individual Control
Enable user preferences within global compliance policies
We Run Numerous Tests on Your Email Traffic Before It Gets to You
Our email protections begin with lightweight tests, including header checks, sender reputation filtering, and validation of DKIM, SPF, and DMARC policies, and then we add deeper message and attachment analysis, spam and phishing protection, and message fingerprint matching to cloud-based intelligence data. Our Secure Email Gateway also provides protection against backscatter and mail bombs to prevent overflow of user mailboxes. Global spam policies send any suspicious messages to a quarantine outside your organization’s infrastructure until the emails can be investigated.
Monitor All Your Traffic Flows and Protective Actions in Real Time
The Open Systems Secure Email Gateway provides real-time metrics of mail traffic—down to the level of individual messages—that include evaluations of incoming and outgoing emails and optionally of spam and malware trends. The Secure Email Gateway offers rich current and historical detail on incoming and outgoing queues, network usage, and system load, as well as access to all email- and system-specific configuration settings and policy rules.
Secure Your Brand
In today’s marketplace, domain spoofing and brand hijacking are significant risks to your brand, yet the means to prevent such attacks—via robust Domain-based Message Authentication Reporting and Conformance (DMARC) enforcement—are complex and difficult to implement. We opt for simplicity: Open Systems DMARC protection is built-in to our Secure Email Gateway, offering deep analytics and reporting to enhance brand protection.
Maintain Regulatory Compliance
The Secure Email Gateway supports legal and regulatory compliance efforts by making use of Transport Layer Security (TLS) to encrypt sensitive data and by providing the means to secure and authenticate communication with other parties.
