Operations

Improved firewall log analysis

Every firewall log, from every firewall, in one place, with the full history kept.

Firewall log analysis is one of the strongest troubleshooting tools in the Mission Control Portal, so it got the bigger upgrade.

  • All firewall logs from all your firewalls, centralised in one view
  • The history is kept for every log, not only for permanent logs as before
  • Filters to narrow the view down to the question you are asking
How to get there
  1. Open your Mission Control Portal
  2. Click 'Jump To' in the upper left corner
  3. Type 'log' and choose 'Firewall Logs Explorer'
Live

Live. The Firewall Log Viewer has been discontinued and is replaced by the Firewall Logs Explorer.

Security

New AI category for the Secure Web Gateway

One category covering chatbots, content generators and code assistants, so AI use becomes a policy decision.

The category filters sites that provide artificial intelligence resources, platforms and services: assistants such as ChatGPT, tools that generate text, images and video, and code generation. Shadow AI stops being invisible and starts being something you can decide about.

How to get there
  1. Open your Mission Control Portal
  2. Click 'Jump To', type 'Service Overview' and select 'Secure Web Gateway - Service Overview'
  3. Open the Host Information page of a service with the magnifier icon
  4. Go to Configuration and Tools, Secure Web Gateway, URL Filter, Category Policy
  5. The AI category and its action appear in the Category Policy section
Live

Live for every Secure Web Gateway customer. Open a Mission Control ticket to change the action.

Reporting

Inventory View CSV export

Export the full inventory, including more ISP line detail than was available before.

The export covers everything the old ISP Line Overview and ISP Line Availability pages carried, plus detail those pages never had. Those pages and their exports are being retired in favour of this one.

How to get there
  1. Open your Mission Control Portal
  2. Click 'Jump To', type 'Inventory' and open the result
  3. Click 'Export'
Live

Live for everyone.

API

Logs API: Open Systems logs in your SIEM

Ship firewall, ZTNA, Secure Web Gateway and authentication logs into your own analysis stack.

The logs belong to you, so they should be usable where the rest of your security data already lives. The Logs API moves them there without an export routine in between.

Live

Available on request. Talk to your Technical Account Manager to switch it on.

Operations

Firewall object export with a Members column

See which objects contain a given address, for example 10.2.3.4, without opening each one.

The export in the Firewall Policy Viewer now carries a Members column with the members of each object. It turns a question that used to require clicking through objects into a search in a spreadsheet.

How to get there
  1. Open your Mission Control Portal
  2. Click 'Jump To', type 'Firewall' and select 'Firewall Policy'
  3. Click 'Export' (use 'Show sidebar' if you cannot see it)
Live

Live for everyone. Self-service for creating, editing and deleting objects can be activated on top.

Visibility

ZTNA tools in the Mission Control Portal

Who reached which application, when, and whether the service behaved as expected.

The ZTNA Service Overview shows how zero-trust access is actually used across your organisation: accesses over time, users, top services. The ZTNA Logs Explorer adds the detailed record of user interactions with applications, for troubleshooting and for verification.

How to get there
  1. Open your Mission Control Portal
  2. Click 'Jump To' and type 'Service Overview' for the overviews
  3. Or type 'Logs Explorer' for the log views available to you
Live

Live for every ZTNA customer.
